Illuminati Symbolism of Migos Culture II Album

Illuminati Symbolism of Migos Culture II Album

Most of you know my affinity for rap music and the hip hop culture; so with the release of the Migos recent Culture II album I couldn’t resist a second look at the artwork in this brief analysis…

The name of this rap group doesn’t have a clear origin, but EliteDaily.com attempted to decipher it with the following:

As for how they came up with the name Migos, it seems like there are a couple different reasons.

In an interview with radio station Hot 97 back in 2013, Quavo and Takeoff explained,

When pressed if “Migos” actually referred to the Spanish word “amigos,” which means friends, Quavo said,

Since we can’t get a clear answer; we could consider a more “occult” meaning…

“Mi-gos” are actually the name for alien entities in HP Lovecraft’s universe; according to the Lovecraft Wikia page:

The Mi-go are an extraterrestrial species from the planet Yuggoth. They are described as winged creatures with large claws and heads covered in antennae.

The Mi-go are a scientifically and technologically advanced race, having a particularly sophisticated grasp of surgical techniques and neuroscience.

So how does that help us here?… Well, given the history of rappers making claims to being aliens, I propose it’s a matter of time before they embrace the same attitude and claim to be from another planet (*Pluto specifically, since that is what Yuggoth is believed to be).

Furthermore, from my research for The Dark Path it seems that contact with aliens is one of the key tenets for occultists…

The artwork for Culture II shows the rap trio beneath twin pillars of white roses. At first glance it doesn’t seem to be a big deal, but given the history of roses in “Illuminati” symbolism we should take a closer look.

The white rose was used by the House of York in the “War of the Roses” (with red roses used by the House of Lancaster). The rose used in the Rosy Cross is believed to be the true symbol of the ancient mysteries. The “Rosy Cross” is utilized by many esoteric groups of magick practitioners due to its occult nature.

The five petaled rose is also akin to the pentagram, which ties us into goddess worship of Venus (and eventually Lucifer). The goddess is worshipped due to the powers of sex magick.

In Kenneth Anger’s The Magical Revival he reveals one of the reasons why we see goddess and Venus symbolism. The occultists believe that sexual magic was used for spiritual attainment, and has been followed by the people of ancient Egypt in the Draconian Cult.

Orgasms can occur in various body centers, including the center seed of consciousness at the crown of the head (the Sahasrarachakra). This chakra point is also related to death (considered the ultimate orgasm), aka the “Great Going.” The ‘Goer’ is the designation for the highest gods in Egyptian and Indian mythology, with its symbol being the ankh. The ankh is the symbol for orgasm, as is the goddess of love, Venus, who is used sexually to transcend consciousness.

The occult types (such as the Gnostics) believe that the dove is the symbolic bird for Venus, and this is possibly why we’re seeing the white doves merged with the white roses on the album cover.

The twin pillars also represent the entrance to a place of mystical energies- just like the twin pillars of Boaz and Jachin at the entrance to Freemason temples.

The High Priestess is the enlightened pillar rising between Boaz and Jachin

The album cover is strange in that we see Offset giving us the Illuminati Vow of Silence.

This sign of Harpocrates is used to indicate the initiate is aware of the secret ways of the occult but would not share it with the profane.

Aleister Crowley and the Vow of Silence

I find this curious because Offset previously spoke out against the Illuminati, yet it seems maybe he’s being initiated into the ways of the Illuminati (especially if we consider his romantic interests in Cardi B- who has a slew of similar ideas…).

Cardi B 666 All Seeing Eye

I’ll be watching new videos from Migos because in the past I’ve seen some of the esoteric language of symbolism worth looking into.

For example, the album artwork for a track on Culture II called Supastars shows us the black star (which brings to mind David Bowie’s final Blackstar album). The black star is also referred to as Saturn- which is one of the deepest occult concepts we can look into (see my Saturn and the Black Cube article for more). It should also be noted that Aleister Crowley advocated that “every man and woman is a star” in the new Aeon of Horus…

Offset All Seeing Eye in “Scotty 2 Hotty”

Offset 666 All Seeing Eye in “Gucci On My”

All Seeing Eye in Versace (*with lyrics “Medusa head on me like I’m Illuminati…”)

Cardi B’s Offset “Moloch” Mano Cornuto chain

The culture of hip hop never fails to surprise me with the occult symbolism presented. The popularity of Migos further suggests that these rappers would eventually be used to push the symbols of the esoteric knowledge to the profane.

Check back as they release videos and I’ll look for more hidden symbols in their works…
